portajump emergency starter
We know that having a "dead battery" is a stressful situation and always seems to happen at the wrong time.  The patented Porta-
Jump™ was designed to help you get going without the help of stopping strangers or waiting for the tow truck to jump start your
car with jumper cables. It is important that you follow the instructions that are permanently attached to the base unit.  The front of
the label opens up to reveal the complete instructions.

Porta-Jump™ measures only 3 inches high by 3 inches wide with a depth of 2 1/2 inches. It's small, portable and fits in your
glove compartment .

Porta-Jump™ delivers a surface charge back to your car battery through the power accessory port (sometimes called the
cigarette lighter) in your car.  In 100% of the test cars that lost their charge because of accidentally leaving on the lights, radio or
other accessories, the Porta-Jump™ delivers sufficient power to bring your car battery back up to the level of electrical power
necessary to start your engine and get you back on the road.

The Porta-Jump™ does not require periodic recharging to maintain its 30 volts of power.  If you never need to use your Porta-
Jump™, it will retain its full charge for up to 5 years.

Almost all car batteries have a life expectancy of 5 years.  As your car battery ages, a greater probability of "catastrophic" failure
of the battery may occur.  Catastrophic failure is where your lead acid battery loses an internal cell which will reduce the amount
of electrical charge your car battery can provide or prevent your battery from recharging itself.

The Porta-Jump™
WILL NOT provide sufficient energy to bring a defective battery back up to the nominal recharge level.  Our
testing procedure, where you simply insert the power adapter into your power port accessory, is designed to let you know if your
car battery will or can accept the charge from your Porta-Jump™ before you begin the process.  If you
DO NOT get a green
light, your Porta-Jump™ will not work and it tells you that your car battery needs professional servicing and/or possible
replacement.

We strongly suggest that you periodically check the installation date of your car battery and consider replacing it when it exceeds
5 years in use.  Catastrophic failures can happen at anytime with lead acid batteries; however, the older your car battery
becomes, the greater the possibility of complete failure.
